About Hank

I grew up in Bucks County, PA and spent a lot of my childhood playing baseball and helping my Mom since my Dad died when I was 11. This led me to play catcher at LaSalle University where I got a degree in business administration. Later, I obtained a master’s degree in education from the University of Akron. In 2004, I married Megan and she brought me to Wayne County. Currently, we live in Apple Creek with our three kids and dog Mia.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with family and am often found playing sports with the kids and coaching baseball. Our family attends Fairlawn Mennonite Church and I like to help out by teaching Sunday school in the children’s department.

I have been with Hummel Group since 2007 and was a teacher prior to working in finance. My favorite part of the planning process is helping people understand their options so they can make informed decisions that are in their own best interest.

My SmartVestor Professional Story

Why I Chose Dave:

My father passed away when I was 11 years old and I watched my Mom use Biblically-based financial principles to make ends meet.  She worked very hard to hold down two jobs and was following Dave’s advice before Dave was giving it!  Through my mom and through Dave, I have known first-hand for 30+ years that this stuff works.  I am happy to be a part of Dave’s team of advisors who help pass on this knowledge so more people can attain financial peace!

Why Dave Chose me:

Dave says you should work with a Financial Professional who has the heart of a teacher, one who will inform you so you can make your own wise decisions. I am a former teacher with a master’s degree in education and my favorite part of working with people is helping them understand the “why” behind the “what” of finance.
