FINANCIAL ACCOUNT MANAGER

Hummel Group is an independent insurance agency with 6 locations in Ohio and Indiana. Our growing team is seeking an Account Manager in our Wealth Management Department.    

As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Prepares reports and forms for client meetings including verification of account status and balances.
  • Processes client paperwork and requests following client meetings.
  • Mentors and delegates appropriate tasks to Assistant Account Managers.
  • Completes paperwork for new accounts and submits service forms.
  • Manages inbound client calls and requests independently.
  • Submits and transfers paperwork appropriately to companies.
  • Proceeds with placing trades only if advisor has presented instructions.
  • Participates in departmental operational projects and suggests departmental improvements.
  • Processes checks for deposits for new and existing accounts.
  • Processes and follows up on basic account servings.
  • Manages advisors’ calendars and updates when necessary.

As a Performance Bonds Specialist, you will:

  • Analyze client financial statements and contracts to find suitable bonding solutions.
  • Work with clients and surety companies to establish bond lines.
  • Work with clients and surety companies to process and issue performance bonds.
  • Manage existing client relationships in tandem with Risk Advisor
  • Actively pursue new client opportunities in tandem with Risk Advisor.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

As a Benefits Account Executive, you will:

  • Partner with a Risk Advisor and prospective clients during all phases of the sales and service process.
  • Assist Risk Advisor with preparation of proposals for prospective clients.
  • Manage the renewal process and ensure service levels for clients.
  • Serve as a contact for answering incoming calls and questions from clients.
  • Oversees new case or carrier implementation for the client.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

  • Processes endorsements to and from the insurance carrier while following documentation guidelines.
  • Processes new and renewal certificates for commercial clients while following documentation guidelines.
  • Processes and submits claims to insurance carriers while following documentation guidelines.
  • Creates submissions for marketing purposes for the commercial department.
  • Completes online quotes with various carriers for Select Business clients.
  • Manages customer activity with AMS360 and ImageRight for maximum efficiency and accurate documentation and follow-up.
  • Assists with indexing policy documents from insurance carriers.
  • Processes inbound and outbound mail each afternoon for delivery to the Post Office.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must obtain State of Ohio licensure for Property and Casualty before a start date is scheduled.
  • Must maintain ongoing education to keep licensure current.

As an Account Executive, you will:

  • Manages the level of service provided to assigned commercial accounts to assure profitability and a high level of retention of accounts.
  • Drives the renewal process, working closely with the Risk Advisors and Account Manager, as needed.
  • Partners with Risk Advisor throughout the sales process. Assists with creating RFP’s and oversees the quoting process.
  • Leads and directs employees in reviewing exposures of clients and prospects, reviews insurance company quotations, prepares and presents proposals.
  • Takes advantage of every available opportunity to develop new accounts and new lines of coverage for existing accounts. Specializes in niche markets.
  • Supports and adheres to agency goals and objectives to place and retain business with our key companies.
  • Supports and adheres to procedures to minimize the agency’s error and omission exposure.
  • Acts as a mentor to Account Managers to continue to develop and expand the departments knowledge.
  • Serves as a backup to claims staff, as needed.
  • Travels offsite to meet with clients and insurance company underwriters.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • College degree preferred.
  • Must obtain Property & Casualty licensure for the State of Indiana and maintain ongoing education requirements.
  • Must be willing to obtain CIC or CISR designation.
