Hummel Group is committed to providing service in a prompt, friendly and knowledgeable manner. We will recommend products and services that are in the best interest of our clients, recognizing that if we take care of our clients, they will take care of us. This means we never sell a product because of how it benefits us, but rather, to meet the needs of the client.
We will conduct ourselves with the highest level of personal and corporate integrity. We will be honest in all situations: with our employees, with our carriers, and with our clients. Our actions should be such that we would not be ashamed to have a report of that action in the newspaper for all to see.

Hummel Group was opened in 1957 as Hummel Insurance Agency by Paul & Mary Hummel in Berlin, Ohio. Paul, a local pastor, began selling insurance out of his home to “supplement his preaching habit.” In the next decade and a half, their three sons, Bruce, Brian and Barry entered into the business taking different roles and expanding Hummel Insurance’s product lines. A third generation of Hummels are still involved with the business today. Over time, Hummel Insurance Agency acquired and merged several other insurance firms and changed their name to Hummel Group, Inc. Now there are seven locations in two states with over 175 employees.
