GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Account Manager is responsible for supporting the Risk Advisor and/or Account Executive with daily service requests and retaining accounts. The Account Manager essential functions includes handling policy inquiries, service requests, changes, quotes and billing inquiries.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports the Risk Advisor and/or Account Executive with servicing business and retaining accounts.

  • Quotes new lines of business and remarkets existing business.
  • Assists team with the renewal process.
  • Refers current clients to other services within to Hummel Group.
  • Assists clients with making coverage changes. Determines if delayed or advanced billing is appropriate and invoices accordingly.
  • Reviews clients account with them upon each contact to ensure account is up-to-date and no other services are needed.
  • Identifies exposure to loss and recommends appropriate coverages to client or relays to Account Executive/Risk Advisor to review with client.
  • May specialize in niche market.
  • Mentors new account managers or assistant account managers.
  • Manages customer activity with AMS360 and ImageRight for maximum efficiency and accurate documentation and follow-up.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education or Experience

  • Two-years previous experience in Commercial Insurance Accounts preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must obtain a state property and casualty licensure and maintain ongoing education requirements.
  • Must have a current driver license and an insurable driving record.

Personal Account Executive

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Account Executive in Personal Lines is responsible for cultivating, growing and retaining client accounts.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages a book of business with high level of service to ensure retention and client satisfaction.
  • Drives the renewal process, working closely with the Risk Advisors and Account Manager, as needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining a 95% policy and premium retention on an annual basis for the client book assigned to them as well as assist in maintaining that same level of retention for the entire Personal Lines client book.
  • Refers current and prospective clients to other services within to Hummel Group.
  • Leads and directs exposures of clients and prospects, quoting, review insurance company quotations, prepares proposals, and presents the proposals.
  • Takes advantage of every available opportunity to develop new accounts and new lines of coverage for existing accounts.
  • Communicate with underwriters regarding eligibility or other changes that need to be addressed to maintain profitability for the carrier and agency. This may involve rewriting policies or making changes to the policy.
  • Responds to sales and service requests. Same day follow-up is expected.
  • Responsible for setting up annual reviews for clients to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Supports and adheres to agency goals and objectives to place and retain business with our clients.
  • Supports and adheres to procedures to minimize the agency’s error and omission exposure.
  • Provides outstanding customer service, teamwork and assist others in acquiring and perfecting these skills.
  • Serves as a backup to sales and claims staff, as needed.
  • Travels offsite to meet with clients and insurance company underwriters.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education or Experience

  • Must have extensive knowledge of Personal Lines products and previous experience in personal insurance accounts.
  • College Degree is preferred.
  • Must obtain State of Ohio licensure for property and casualty with 90 days of employment.
  • Must maintain ongoing education for keep licensure current.
  • Must have a current driver license and an insurable driving record.
  • Requires possession of or plan to obtain CIC designation.

Business Support Specialist

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Business Support Specialists contribute to the growth and retention of the commercial lines department by managing policy checking, endorsement, and certificate processes. Business Support Specialists supports Business Account Managers by marketing policy renewals and performing day-to-day tasks when needed.

  • Processes new and renewal certificates for commercial clients while following documentation guidelines.

  • Creates submissions for marketing purposes for the commercial department.
  • Completes online quotes with various carriers for Select Business clients.
  • Completes Account Manager responsibilities including ImageRight tasks and how to route processing requests for completion.
  • Pulls and indexes policy documents from insurance carriers.
  • Processes inbound/outbound mail.

The Life Insurance Advisor is responsible for the administration, marketing, service, and sale of life insurance products, and will provide additional service and support to changing existing client’s life insurance coverages.

  • Assists with completion of application and other necessary paperwork; obtains underwriting approval.

  • Follows up with clients on a periodic basis to assess financial, family, and other changes that may warrant modification of coverage.
  • Work with existing policy holders to review, renew, and convert term life policies.
  • Maintains RedTail client database with accurate up-to-date information and documentation of life prospects/clients and expirations dates.
  • Facilitates distributions to beneficiaries as directed on the death of the policyholder.
